Locally-led organizations are powerful, and they require support in
order to thrive and scale. However, they face challenges in
accessing resources due to the lack of organizational capacity,
networks, and unrestricted funding; strengthening their capacity to
support their survival and impact global development is an urgent need.
Nurturing Minds partners with SEGA (Secondary
Education for Girls’ Advancement) for the development and operation of a
quality secondary boarding school, a continuing education scholarship
program, and a community outreach program that brings elements of SEGA’s
Life Skills program to girls in rural communities throughout Tanzania.
