Major Gift Officer

Development Officer — Eye Corps

Location: Remote
Schedule: Full-time (35 hrs/week) or part-time (10–20 hrs/week) considered
Reports to: Executive Director

About Eye Corps: Eye Corps is a  501(c)(3) and registered Tanzanian NGO working to eliminate preventable cataract blindness in Tanzania through surgical workforce development.

The Role:
We’re seeking a development professional with an established network of high-net-worth individuals and a track record of personally closing major gifts. This is a relationship-driven role, not a grant-writing or database-management position — you’ll bring and cultivate connections, not build lists from scratch.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, cultivate, and close gifts of $25K+ from  professional network
• Build and manage a prioritized major-donor and corporate-sponsor pipeline
• Partner with the Executive Director and board on donor strategy and stewardship
• Represent Eye Corps in donor meetings, events, and cultivation calls

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in major-gift or principal-gift fundraising, ideally in healthcare or global health
• Demonstrated history of personally closing gifts of $100K+ (references required)
• Experience working within a small, high-performing development or nonprofit team
• Comfort working independently with a mission-driven, lean organization
