Population Connection is a nonprofit organization raising awareness about the negative impact of global population growth on our environment and human well-being. We make the “connection” between furthering reproductive rights and health and protecting the natural world. Our outreach and communications work emphasizes how empowering women and girls brings vast benefits that help advance all 17 of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Population Connection works to ensure that every woman around the world who wants to delay or end childbearing has access to the health services and contraceptive supplies she needs in order to do so. Our advocacy work is largely focused on reproductive rights policy, aiming to increase funding for international family planning and to end harmful reproductive rights restrictions, both in the U.S. and abroad.
