What is International Development? Really, we throw the word around a lot, but what does it look like in action? In my perfect world, it is about people from different cultures, social and economic backgrounds coming together to make positive, mutually beneficial change. This change happens at the individual, community and national level, and it rarely happens in isolation because, really, what ever does?
These researchers lead the IANDA Project (Indicators of Affordability of Nutritious Diets in Africa), which seeks to shift the way food prices are reported and interpreted so that they reflect affordability of nutritious diets.
The Boston Network for International Development (BNID) is committed to supporting our peer organizations around the world who may be affected by the Executive Order banning immigration to the United States from seven predominantly Muslim countries.
When I was in college, I did not plan on specializing in international development or becoming a professor. In fact, my undergraduate studies never focused on international issues, but rather a combination of economics and ecology.
