Direct Store Delivery Team Member & Driver (based in Eastern MA or RI) –

Qualifications

• An interest in the mission of Equal Exchange
• Experience with or interest in working for a cooperative organization preferred
• Ability to communicate well with customers, team members and staff
• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to effectively manage time and responsibilities
• Ability to work independently
• Driver’s license
• Access to a vehicle for delivery purposes with mileage reimbursement
• Ability to lift 40 lbs

Responsibilities:

• Store and transport Equal Exchange products in a clean vehicle
• Organize safe, timely delivery routes
• Deliver and merchandise Equal Exchange products at Market Basket locations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire
• Inventory management/ FIFO (first in first out)
• Oversee and document Equal Exchange display maintenance (sale tags, etc.)
• Process order paperwork
• Maintain customer relationships and provide a high level of customer service to Market Basket accounts
• Follow safety guidelines in store
• check in with supervisor and attend occasional team meetings
• Participate in inventory audits
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Personnel & Worker Ownership/Fair Trade Development

• Participate in staff, team, department, and educational (Exchange Time) meetings.
• Understand our producer partners, trading policies, and the Fair Trade movement.
• Understand and participate effectively in our worker cooperative model.
