Development Officer

The Asian Community Fund (ACF) is the first and only philanthropic fund in Massachusetts dedicated to the needs of the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. Established at the Boston Foundation (TBF) in 2020, ACF develops, strengthens, and supports AAPI power in Massachusetts.

The Development Officer will play a pivotal role in developing and strengthening processes to support ACF’s fundraising goals, including its annual gala and signature events, data management, and donor stewardship.

Essential Functions

Development Management:

• Implement systems for prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
• Coordinate ACF leadership and Committee members in making asks; conduct prospect research
• Identify grant-based funding opportunities; support grant writing and submission
• Collaborate across TBF’s Development and Donor Services department

Event Management:

• Drive planning and fundraising for ACF’s annual gala and signature events
• Facilitate outreach to secure sponsorships and partnerships
• Represent ACF externally in community events and coalitions

Data Management:

• Track and manage all commitments and gifts in Salesforce; follow up on outstanding pledges
• Maintain data integrity and train staff and Committee members on system protocols
• Conduct regular analysis and reporting on fundraising progress and donor trends

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience, including 2+ years in fundraising or project management
• Experience with moves management, prospect research, data entry and analysis, and event planning
• Salesforce or equivalent CRM experience strongly preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Passion for the goals of ACF and familiarity with needs facing the AAPI community in Massachusetts
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

Compensation & Schedule

Salary: $75,000–$90,000. Hybrid schedule: 2 days in office (generally Tuesday and Thursday), 3 days remote. Available for in-person community convenings and events as needed.
