Marketing and Communications Coordinator

The Massachusetts Nonprofit Network (MNN) is the state’s nonprofit association, dedicated to supporting all nonprofits through public awareness, policy, and capacity building strategies. MNN has over 650 member organizations representing every region of Massachusetts.

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator plays an essential role in leading and executing strategies that communicate MNN’s work to key constituencies, engage members and contacts, and help strengthen the Massachusetts nonprofit sector.

Essential Job Functions

Marketing:

• Lead and execute MNN’s digital marketing strategy, including monthly electronic newsletters and regular emails to various audiences
• Drive MNN’s web presence via website strategies for presentation, access, and navigation
• Create landing pages and microsites for key events and initiatives
• Coordinate event promotion and drive attendance for webinars, trainings, and MNN’s signature events
• Compile content and increase audience engagement on MNN’s social media channels

Communications:

• Lead development and execution of communications strategies with key constituencies including members, media, government, and civic leaders
• Cultivate and manage press relationships to ensure coverage of issues important to the nonprofit sector
• Drive initiatives to raise awareness of the nonprofit sector and enhance MNN’s brand

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
• Experience with digital marketing, website development, and Salesforce (or similar CRM)
• Graphic design skills
• Familiarity with Constant Contact, social media platforms, Adobe Suite, Hootsuite, WordPress, and/or Form Assembly
• Entrepreneurial work ethic and commitment to the nonprofit sector

Work Location & Compensation

Employees may work from home or the MNN office in Boston, with at least one day per week in office. MNN offers a flextime policy. Minimum salary: $55,000 plus benefits.
